BUGS’ n BEADS™ – STI/STI-fast, from 26-6286-1 Genpoint-NorDiag are automated methods for the isolation of DNA and RNA from bacteria causing sexual transmitted infections (STI).


 

Intended use
BUGS’ n BEADS™ STI is a generic system that uses the BUGS’ n BEADS™ technology for qualitative preparation of nucleic acids (NA) from bacteria causing sexual transmitted infections (STI) using urine or material collected with a swab as samples. The kits have successfully been used for the isolation of Chlamydia

trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoea, Mycoplasma genitalium and Urea plasma urealyticum. The following detection systems have been used to analyse the nucleic acids: PCR* and SDA**.

Every new application or combination with other detection systems should be validated by the user for the specific use.
